Solvast- 20 Film Coated Caplets

Addition to diet to reduce increases in total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, apolipoprotein B, & triglycerides in patients suffering from primary hypercholesterolemia, combined (mixed) hyperlipidemia, and heterozygous & homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia when the response to diet & other non-pharmacological measures is insufficient.

Each film-coated caplet contains:
Atorvastatin amorphous calcium 20.72 mg equivalent to
Atorvastatin 20 mg

Usual dosage; 1 x daily 10 mg. Dosage range: 1 x daily 10-80 mg.
Primary hypercholesterolemia & combined hyperlipidemia: 10 mg once daily.
Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia: 80 mg.
Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia in children aged 10-17 years: Initial dose 10 mg / day. Maximum dose: 20 mg / day. Adjustments are made within a period of ≥ 4 weeks.
Combination with cyclosporine, telaprevir, or the tipranavir/ritonavir combination: the dose should not exceed 10 mg.
